The New England Learning Association (NELA) offers a variety of events types and topics that address the interests of our diverse membership. Below are descriptions of NELA's different event formats.
Evening Events - NELA's flagship monthly events are well attended and consists of a networking hour (with appetizers and beverages) followed by a noted speaker, or an executive industry panel. Event themes rotate between corporate, higher-ed, and K-12 segments.
Breakfast Briefings - In September, December, January and March NELA will offer a smaller venue (with continental breakfast) with a speaker/discussion around a specific topic.
On-Line Seminars - NELA will run live online events using HP virtual classroom (Hewlett-Packard) and iSeminar (Interwise) platforms. These free events are open to all and will feature a noted speaker addressing a current trend or issue in the industry.
Education Seminars - In October and May, NELA offers intensive half-full day instructor-led workshops led by experts in their fields. This is a unique opportunity to learn industry best practices.
Partner Events - Throughout the event season, NELA will co-sponsor and promote additional events of interest in the community. NELA is committed to be an open organization eager to partner with other active groups in the learning and technology field.
